which has became an annual tradition.

This year’s Deputy Grand Marshal,
Roguey Doyle, has long been affiliated with St. Patrick’s
Day festivities in the South Florida area. Roguey worked as a volunteer
for over 10 years and was a founding member of the St. Patrick’s
Day Parade and Festival in Fort Lauderdale. She, along with Bobby
Dunbar, worked feverishly to continue the tradition of a St. Patrick’s
Day Parade and Festival and were responsible for bringing it to
Hollywood.
Roguey comes from a long line of Irishmen. Both her mother and
father were third generation Irish coming from Roscommon and Lietram,
Ireland. Often referred to as wearing the map of Ireland on her
face, Roguey’s eyes light up when discussions turn to the
“wearin’ of the green.”
Roguey currently is the Special Events Supervisor for the Department
of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts in Hollywood, Florida. Her
family moved to Hollywood in 1956, when she was a wee lass and she
grew up in the South Florida area attending St. Thomas Aquinas High
School and Broward Community College.
Roguey Doyle has an indomitable will. Whether the challenge is
personal or professional, she will overcome all obstacles to get
the job done ....and manages to be upbeat and cheerful at the same
time. She's fun to to work with.
